City leaders pay tribute to war heroes and martyrs
VGP - Delegation of Ha Noi’s senior officials led by Municipal Party Committee Secretary Pham Quang Nghi laid wreaths to commemorate war heroes and martyrs on October 6 to commemorate their sacrifices.
The delegation included city’s leaders, such as Municipal People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen The Thao, People’s Council Chairwoman Ngo Thi Doan Thanh, Municipal Fatherland Front Committee Dao Van Binh.
The city’s leaders led a moment of silence to pay deep gratitude to heroes and martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence, freedom, and unification.
Politburo member Nghi stressed that the city’s current leades and the capital dwellers always remember the merits of their predecessors.
He also expressed that their family members continue to promote a revolutionary spirit and make further contributions to the capital city.
In the spirit of the city’s big celebration of the 60th anniversary of Liberation (October 10, 1954 – 2014), to commemorate great contribution of martyrs and leaders to the struggle for national independence, freedom and happiness.
