Day of Pho: Spreading Vietnamese culinary culture

On October 14, in Ha Noi, Tuoi Tre newspaper, the Viet Nam Culinary Culture Association and the Nam Dinh administration jointly held a press meeting to introduce the activities in response to the Day of Pho.

This year's Day of Pho gala, with the theme "Convergence of quintessence", will take place in the northern province of Nam Dinh from December 10 to 12. From now until the end of December, many activities celebrating the annual event will be held.

In addition to traditional activities such as the contest to find outstanding pho cooks, the Organizing Committee will carry out several other activities, such as "Experience preparing and enjoying pho" for wives of Ambassadors to Viet Nam.

Besides, the program also organizes many meaningful community activities, including community activities at Nam Dinh shelter, community activities for disadvantaged students in Thanh Hoa, and the "Love Pho - Merry Christmas" activity for the homeless in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr La Quoc Khanh-Vice, President of the Viet Nam Culinary Association, emphasized that the Day of Pho is a meaningful event to honor Vietnamese culinary culture, contributing to spreading the traditional values of the nation.

In particular, as cuisine plays a vital role in tourism development, the Day of Pho will continue to affirm the brand of traditional Vietnamese dishes to friends and international tourists, contributing to attracting tourists to Viet Nam.

Before the press conference, the northern preliminary round of the contest to find outstanding pho cooks in 2022 took place. This is one of the sixth Day of Pho activities.

The southern preliminary round is expected to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on November 19, and the final round will be held on December 10 and 11, 2022, in Nam Dinh./.
