Activities to celebrate Liberation Day

Various activities to be held at the Friendship Cultural Palace in Ha Noi on October 10

Various activities is scheduled to be held at the Friendship Cultural Palace in Ha Noi on October 10 together with honoring individuals, organization with excellent achievements and city’s outstanding citizens in 2014.

In addition, series of art, sports and tourism activities will be organized, such as the show “Ha Noi – belief and hope”, Ha Noi Singing Contest, the first Capital Theater Festival, Hanoimoi Run Tournament for Peace 2014, activities to mark the 15th anniversary of Ha Noi's recognition as the “City for Peace”.

A fashion show of Vietnamese folk costume Ao Dai will be held in the evening of October 10 at Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), highlighting special traditional handicrafts of Viet Nam, such as lacquer art and jewelry.

Beside these events, the Ha Noi municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will focus on the upgrading of some historical monuments in the capital city.

The Ha Noi Union of Friendship Organizations in cooperation with related agencies are assigned to implement activities to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Ha Noi's recognition as the “City for Peace”.
