Aeon Mall Long Bien opens
VGP – The Japanese retail AEON Group has held a grand ceremony in Long Bien district to officially inaugurate its first shopping centre in the capital city.

The supermarket in the centre with more than 12,000 items is expected to meet the demand for high-quality consumer goods and clean food.
Additionally, AEON Mall Long Bien features over 180 specialized pavilions and services, more than half of which come from Vietnamese enterprises, and 20% from Japanese firms.
It is expected to offer new shopping experiences and advocate new lifestyles for local residents in Ha Noi, contributing to boosting investment and business in the city.
Addressing the ceremony, Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam Hiroshi Fukada said that the “Viet Nam-Japan relationship is currently in its most fruitful development stage ever and Vietnamese people have always believed in the quality of Japanese products and services.”.
He also expressed his belief that AEON Mall Long Bien would promote the co-operation between the Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises as well as enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples.
Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao appreciated the cooperation and contribution of Japanese investors in general and the AEON Group in particular.
The city pledged to create favourable conditions for investors to do business effectively, contributing to making Hanoi a safe destination for investment.
Currently, Ha Noi is home to 721 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from Japan with total registered investments of over US$4.7 billion. As many as 23 Japanese official development assistance (ODA) projects worth US$2.9 billion have been implemented in the city.
This is the third shopping centre of the AEON Group in Viet Nam along with AEON Mall Tan Phu Celadon and AEON Mall Binh Duong Canary in Ho Chi Minh City.
