Bui Thi Minh Hoai continues serving as Ha Noi Party Secretary in new tenure
VGP - Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member and Secretary of the 17th-tenure Ha Noi Party Committee, has been re-elected as Secretary for the 18th tenure (2025-2030). with the highest number of votes, gaining 99.27 percent support.

The 18th Party Congress of Ha Noi for the 2025–2030 tenure, which convened on October 16, elected a 75-member municipal Party Committee with a high degree of consensus and strong endorsement from delegates.
The Committee elected four Deputy Secretaries of the Ha Noi Party Committee, including Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the 17th-tenure Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee; and Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council. Among them, Mr. Thanh and Mr. Phong were re-elected.
Taking place from October 15-17, the 18th Congress of the Ha Noi Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure is set to review the implementation of the resolution adopted at the 17th congress (2020-25), define the goals, orientations, and tasks for the capital's development in the 2025-30 period with a vision towards 2045.
As a native in Thanh Tan commune, Thanh Liem district, the northern province of Ha Nam, Bui, 60 , holds a master’s degree in law.
She is a member of the Party Central Committee for the 10th (alternate), 11th, 12th and 13th tenures. She was elected to the Political Bureau by the 13th Party Central Committee at its 9th plenum on May 16. Hoai is also a deputy of the 15th National Assembly.
