Capital strives for GRDP preset goal
VGP - The capital city of Ha Noi will double effort to achieve the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth target of 6.5-7 percent, and keep the inflation rate under 4 percent for the whole year 2024.

This is part of a plan recently signed by Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh.
The mayor tasked departments, sectors, and localities to focus on monetary policies, removing bottlenecks for enterprises, and the public capital disbursement plan.
Their focus must be on the development of such key areas as industry, service, construction, and agro-forestry-fisheries.
They will work towards the expansion of the GRDP by 6.7-7.6 percent, exports 7.4 percent, and index of industrial production 10.73 percent in Q3.
The figures set for the next quarter are 7.2-8.1 percent, 4.6 percent, and 11.5 percent, respectively.
The Chairman urged departments, sectors and branches, as well as the People's Committees of districts and township to effectively accomplish their missions. The Department of Planning and Investment is requested to work with relevant sides to keep a close watch on the implementation of the plan.
Earlier, the municipal Statistic Office reported that Ha Noi's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first half of 2024 was estimated to increase 6 percent compared to the 5.86 percent growth in same period last year./.
