Construction of road linking Expressway, Ring Road 3 kick-started
VGP - A groundbreaking ceremony for a road connecting the Phap Van – Cau Gie expressway and Ring Road 3 was held by the People’s Committee of Ha Noi on July 19.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan said that the road has a significant role in completing the city's transport infrastructure system and reducing traffic congestion at Phap Van intersection, ensuring traffic order and safety in the city, and promoting the socio-economic development of Hoang Mai and Thanh Tri districts, the southern and southeastern areas in the capital.
Nguyen Chi Cuong, the Director of the Ha Noi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, stated that the project is a crucial undertaking within the framework of Program 03 of the Ha Noi Party Committee, focusing on the urban embellishment, development, and economy of Ha Noi from 2021 to 2025.
The design of the connecting route
The link road will start at the intersection of Phap Van - Cau Gie Highway (km184+100) and end at the intersection of Ring Road No.3 (km169+100), passing through Hoang Mai and Thanh Tri districts.
The route is designed to have six lanes for motor vehicles and two lanes for mixed traffic. It occupies a land area of approximately 31 hectares.
The project's total investment cost is VND3.2 trillion (US$135.3 million), financed from the city budget. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.
Around 31.05 hectares of land in Thanh Tri and Hoang Mai districts must be cleared for the construction project./.
