Consumer price index up 5.51% in Jan-July period
VGP - Ha Noi’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the January – July period increased by 5.51 percent from the same time last year, according to the city’s statistics office.

During the period, among the 11 main groups of consumer goods and services, 10 saw price hikes while postal and telecommunications services experienced a decline of 0.16 percent.
In the seven months, educational services increased by 30.58 percent; housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials grew by 6.19 percent; food and catering services expanded by 3.28 percent, and medicine and medical services increased by 4.15 percent.
The total revenue from the retail sales of goods and consumer services valued US$475.3 trillion (US$18.84 billion), up 10.3 percent over the same period last year./.
