CPI drops slightly in February
VGP – The consumer price index (CPI) experienced a month-on-month decline of 0.07% in February, went up 1% against last December and 5.16% against the same period last year.

In the first two months of 2020, CPI picked up 5.66% against the same period last year.
In February, six out of 11 commodities experienced decline prices including transport (down 2.24%); culture, entertainment and tourism (down 1.58%); housing, electricity, water, fuel, and building materials (down 0.24%); garments and textiles, footwear, hats (down 0.19%), posts and telecom (down 0.13%); beverage and tobacco (down 0.11%).
On the other hand, costs of restaurants and food went up 0.85%. The rest of commodities saw slight price increases of about 0.01-0.1%.
In February, gold price witnessed a month-on-month price increase of 2.85% and a year-on-year growth of 20.16%.
USD price picked up 0.28% against the previous month and 0.22% against the same period last year./.
