The exhibits also aim to publicise Viet Nam’s outstanding achievements obtained in economic growth, international investment, healthcare, education, culture and social affairs after 28 years of implementing its comprehensive ‘Doi Moi’ (renovation) process (1986-2014).
The formation process of an ASEAN community, with co-operative activities in politics, security, economics and socio-culture, will also be introduced at the exhibition.
An important highlight of the event is the introduction of documents which reflect the consensus and persistence among ASEAN countries in backing Viet Nam’s sea and island sovereignty defence in the East Sea.
Images of the land, people and unique cultural features, along with a number of literary and research works on architecture, dance and cinematography of ASEAN member countries are also on display during the 18-day event.
The event is being held to mark the 69th anniversary of Viet Nam National Day (September 2, 1945-2014), the 47th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN (August 8, 1967-2014) and 19 years of Viet Nam’s ASEAN membership (July 28, 1995-2014). - ND
