Ha Noi advances urban renewal with three key resolutions
VGP - Ha Noi is finalizing three major resolutions on urban redevelopment, resettlement, and investment incentives to create a legal framework under the Capital City Law, aiming to upgrade urban spaces and improve living conditions amid rapid urbanization.

The Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Noi on October 13 held a social feedback conference on three draft resolutions of the Ha Noi People's Council regarding policies and measures to support the implementation of urban renovation and renewal projects in the city.
The three resolutions form an action framework to remove bottlenecks.
1. Urban Redevelopment: Provides clear rules for faster project implementation and greater flexibility for district authorities.
2. Compensation and Resettlement: Introduces transparent, flexible mechanisms that allow residents to participate in planning and choose suitable relocation options, building trust and support.
3. Investment Incentives: Encourages private investment to upgrade infrastructure while preserving cultural and historical values in old neighborhoods.
The resolutions simplify procedures, empower local authorities, and emphasize digital transformation for transparent planning and project monitoring. Visible improvements already include repaved streets, upgraded lighting, better sidewalks, and enhanced public spaces like To Lich River promenades and Hoang Cau Lake areas.
Experts note that urban renewal is a long-term process requiring coordination between government, community, and businesses. The three resolutions aim to turn legal frameworks into tangible results, making Ha Noi more modern, sustainable, and livable
To ensure that Ha Noi's urban renovation and renewal resolutions align with practical needs, the drafting agency was advised to hold additional consultations with experts and scholars to gather feedback and improve the quality of the documents./.
