Ha Noi announces list of nine groups of strategic technologies

VGP - Ha Noi has promulgated a list of nine groups of strategic technologies and priority strategic technology products for the 2026–2035 period.

Accordingly, the list of strategic technologies for 2026–2035 comprises:

(1) Digital technologies (artificial intelligence, big data, digital twins, cloud computing, edge computing, the Internet of Things, and blockchain);

(2) Next-generation mobile network technologies;

(3) Robotics and automation technologies;

(4) Advanced biotechnology and biomedical technologies;

(5) Advanced energy and materials technologies;

(6) Semiconductor chip technologies;

(7) Cybersecurity and quantum technologies;

(8) Urban railway technologies;

(9) Low-altitude space technologies.

The list of priority strategic technology products is divided into two groups, with a total of 25 products.

Group 1 comprises strategic technology products that already have a market and can generate significant and direct impacts on economic development, including: Vietnamese large language models; virtual assistants and specialized artificial intelligence (AI); edge-processing AI cameras; digital twin platforms; cloud computing platforms; blockchain network infrastructure and traceability systems; 5G/5G-Advanced mobile network equipment and systems; autonomous mobile robots and industrial robots; platforms, solutions, and models for smart manufacturing.

Cybersecurity and information security solutions for critical infrastructure, national databases, and key information systems of the capital; next-generation human vaccines; cell therapies (including stem cells and immune cells) for human use; systems for manufacturing personalized medical products using 3D printing technology.

Smart biosensor systems; next-generation vaccines and biological products for livestock, veterinary medicine, aquaculture, crop production, and plant protection; systems for the production, harvesting, and deep processing of agricultural products, agricultural by-products, and biomass; next-generation plant, livestock, and aquaculture varieties developed using cell technology, gene-editing technology, and biotechnology.

Advanced materials and high-performance functional materials for the processing and manufacturing industries; advanced batteries and energy storage systems, including integrated battery energy storage systems (BESS); systems for the production, storage, transportation, and distribution of green hydrogen and biofuels; high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage electrical equipment; electric machines, motors, and modern, high-efficiency electricity transmission and drive systems.

Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) systems; unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as systems for the management, detection, monitoring, and suppression of UAVs.

Group 2 comprises technologies that create new growth drivers, foundational technologies for the future, and technologies that ensure technological self-reliance, including specialized chips; quantum communications, quantum computing, and quantum sensing; and industrial platforms, vehicles, equipment, and integrated systems for urban railways.

The Ha Noi People's Committee has assigned its departments, agencies, and sectors to apply and develop the strategic technologies and strategic technology products under their respective areas of management./.
