Ha Noi attracts over US$15 mln in foreign investment in January
VGP – Ha N oi lured 15.1 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first month of 2021.

According to the municipal Statistics Office, new and additional capital totalled US$1.8 million and US$300,000, respectively.
Capital contributions and share purchases by foreign investors stood at nearly US$13 million.
In order to complete its socio-economic development targets in 2021, municipal authorities have urgently implemented key tasks and measures in accordance with set plans, focusing on simplifying administrative procedures and building open mechanisms to lure more foreign investment flows.
The disbursement of State budget funds managed by the city has been accelerated, aiming to promote the construction of infrastructure projects.
In 2020, about US$3.72 billion in foreign direct investment(FDI) poured into Ha Noi.
This figure made the capital the second largest destination of FDI in the country over the past year.
The city had 264,000 newly established enterprises, a decrease of 2%, with registered capital estimated at VND337.7 trillion, down 13%.
Ha Noi’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 3.98% compared to 2019./.
