Mobilizing major resources for capital's development
As of August 27, the city had approximately 341 projects and works registered for groundbreaking or completion in 2026, with a combined investment of VND 649.403 trillion (US$25 billion).
Among 148 projects and works marking the National Day and the liberation of Ha Noi Capital on October 10 this year, 148 projects and works, with total investment of VND 446.618 trillion (US$17.2 billion) would start construction or be inaugurated.
Of the figure, a notable feature is that VND 366.397 trillion (US$14.1 billion) comes from non-state sources, accounting for around 82 percent of the total investment.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang said, the 17 projects clearly reflect two key priorities for Ha Noi, including addressing pressing infrastructure challenges and preparing the capacity and development space needed for the capital in the years ahead.
Through these projects, Ha Noi is gradually shifting from a mindset focused primarily on urban expansion to an approach that simultaneously addresses existing infrastructure bottlenecks, redevelops established urban areas and creates new development hubs, laying the foundation for the capital's sustainable development, he emphasized.
With the simultaneous inauguration of completed works and launch of major new projects, the capital city is mobilizing resources to address urgent challenges in transport, flooding and urban improvement while preparing the infrastructure and development space required for a new phase of growth.
The success of these projects will not be measured solely by investment progress, but also by their ability to improve residents' quality of life, strengthen connectivity and generate new, sustainable growth momentum for the capital./.
