The “Month for the Poor 2025” campaign, which runs from October 17 to November 18, to promote community solidarity and mobilize resources to assist disadvantaged people across the capital

The initiative, organized by the Ha Noi Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF), responds to the national emulation movement "For the Poor – Leaving No One Behind" for the 2021–2025 period, under the direction of the VFF Central Committee.

The campaign aims to raise awareness and encourage organizations, businesses, philanthropists, and citizens to contribute to the "Fund for the Poor" and social security activities, helping low-income and vulnerable groups improve their living conditions.

According to the city's plan, assistance will target poor and near-poor households, the elderly living alone, orphans, and people suffering from serious illnesses. Support measures include providing breeding animals, crops, production tools, loans, vocational training, and market connections, as well as building or repairing houses.

These activities also contribute to building new-style rural areas and civilized urban communities.

Additionally, the campaign will raise funds to build schools in border communes, helping improve education in disadvantaged regions.

Each civil servant and public employee in Ha Noi is encouraged to donate at least one day's salary. Outstanding organizations, businesses, and individuals making significant contributions will be honored.

A city-level launching ceremony will take place on October 30, calling for active participation from the political system and the community.

The Ha Noi VFF Committee will coordinate with the municipal People's Committee to issue appeal letters, mobilize contributions, and publicize results through the media and social networks to ensure transparency.

At the grassroots level, VFF committees in wards and communes will work with local authorities to review beneficiaries, strengthen communication, and diversify fundraising activities, including creative outreach models using social media.

Individuals, agencies, and organizations can contribute to Ha Noi’s “Fund for the Poor” through the following methods:

  • Bank transfer to the account of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Noi – “Fund for the Poor”:

    • Account No. 3761.0.9057259.91046 at the Ha Noi State Treasury

    • Account No. 1500201116868 at the Viet Nam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) – Hanoi Branch.
