Ha Noi Mayor receives Lotte Chairman

The two sides took the occasion to discuss investment activities of the Group in 2018 and its expansion program in the coming time. 

Specifically, Mr. Shin Dong Bin revealed that via the working visit to Viet Nam, he hoped to inspect ongoing projects including Lotte mall at Tay Ho district and Eco smart city at Thu Thiem urban area in HCMC and assess future expansion in the coming time. 

According to the Lotte Chairman, since 1996, the Group has founded 18 companies in Viet Nam with a total investment of about VND 40 trillion, serving to generate 20,000 jobs. In addition, the Group has also proactively supported the host country in human power development and business startup.

In reply, Chairman Chung applauded Lotte Group for its positive contributions to social security program in the city and support for local agricultural products to enter Lotte Mart stores in the RoK. 

In the spirit “Your success is our success,” Chairman Chung expressed an aspiration that the Group would continue to stick to its investment projects and broaden others in Ha Noi.

Ha Noi stands ready to work with Lotte Group to extricate obstacles and create the most favorable conditions for business operation, he said./.
