Hà Nội pilots clean means of transport
VGP – The PM just agreed on principle that the People’s Committee of Hà Nội will pilot a project on introducing clean means of transport (electric cars) in order to serve tourists in the Old Quarter and around Hoàn Kiếm Lake.

for three years since its approval.

The Government chief requires
that the cars must secure traffic safety, causing no jam.
After six months of implementing
the project, the municipal authorities must assess the results. Meanwhile, the
Ministry of Transport is assigned to review the 3-year implementation of the
project and make report to the PM.
According to the project, 20
electric cars, powered by on-board battery packs, are allowed to run along the
two tour routes with 15 stops.
Each car can carry 5-12 tourists
at the price of VND 10,000-30,000/turn.
