Ha Noi promotes all-round cooperation with Cairo
VGP - Vice Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen led a delegation to visit to Egypt and South Africa from October 24 to November 1 to consolidate and expand friendship and cooperation between Ha Noi and foreign capitals , exchange experiences, and promote collaboration in tourism, investment promotion, trade, industry, and culture.
Speaking at the opening of the conference held on October 24 in Cairo, Tuyen affirmed that the development of traditional friendship between Viet Nam and Egypt in investment, trade, tourism, and cultural exchange serves as a solid foundation to boost the potential for cooperation.
This investment promotion event aims to further showcase Ha Noi's attractive, safe, and effective investment environment, strengthen ties, and promote investment, trade, and tourism between Ha Noi and Egypt, Tuyen said.
"Ha Noi values and is ready to provide the best conditions for Egyptian businesses and investors interested in operating in Ha Noi, a City for Peace and Creativity," she continued.
Mohamed Hedaya, a representative from the Giza Chamber of Commerce, expressed his delight at the historical and cultural similarities between Viet Nam and Egypt and the growing political trust between the two nations.
Hedaya added that the cooperation agreement signed by the capitals of Hanoi and Cairo further emphasizes the progress in cross-level partnership. He noted that the event offers Egyptian businesses and Cairo-based enterprises an opportunity to connect, exchange, and access information on Ha Noi's investment environment, policies, and mechanisms, fostering future cooperation.
As part of the visit, the high-level delegation from Ha Noi also met with the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt.
During the visit, the delegation also conducted on-site surveys of exemplary models in Cairo that focus on preserving and promoting cultural and historical values for tourism development.
Ha Noi seeks stronger cooperation with South African localities
During the visit to South Africa from October 27-31, the Vice Secretary met with Tshwane's Deputy Mayor Eugene Modise. She said that Ha Noi wants to work with authorities of Tshwane and the Vietnamese Embassy in South Africa to enhance connections between the two business communities and promote cooperative opportunities, she said.
During a reception for Mtho Xulu, President of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vice Secretary said that local companies hope to expand potential partnerships with Ha Noi and Viet Nam.
He highlighted minerals, agricultural processing, ICT development, and emerging service industries as highly potential sectors./.
