Ha Noi reduces consumption of nylon bags

VGP- The Ha Noi People’s Committee has encouraged residents to use environmentally friendly bags, instead of nylon ones, in daily life.
The Committee has asked relevant agencies and organizations to introduce self-decomposing nylon bags and offer environmentally friendly bags to people.
The Committee has had also assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the municipal Women’s Union and management boards of some supermarkets and markets in Ha Noi to launch the program “Limiting use of nylon bags for environment” in 2012.
Ha Noi will organize many activities such as cycling for environment, distributing environmentally friendly bags, collecting rubbish and used nylon bags around markets and supermarkets.
