Bossche expressed his appreciation for the close cooperation and support provided by Ha Noi's leadership throughout his tenure.

He affirmed that the achievements in cooperation between Belgium and Viet Nam in general, and between the nation and Ha Noi in particular, were the result of close coordination among government agencies, local authorities, and the business communities of both countries.

During his time in Ha Noi, the Ambassador had the opportunity to participate in numerous important diplomatic events, including the visit of the Queen of the Belgians in her capacity as Honorary Ambassador of UNICEF, as well as visits by several high-level Belgian delegations to Viet Nam. These milestones, he said, have contributed to strengthening mutual understanding, building trust, and deepening bilateral cooperation.

The Ambassador also recalled the activities marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Belgium, with numerous commemorative events held in the capital city.

In particular, he highly valued the practical cooperation in urban infrastructure, highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Ha Noi Sewage and Drainage Company Limited and HydroScan Company of Belgium on technical cooperation under the Belgian Government's non-refundable ODA assistance program for a smart water management technology transfer project.

He hailed the bilateral humanitarian cooperation in addressing the consequences of war, particularly projects on dioxin remediation and livelihood support for Agent Orange victims.

According to the Ambassador, these initiatives reflect the responsibility, solidarity, and close ties between the two countries, while laying a solid foundation for sustainable cooperation in the future.

Vu, for his part, spoke highly of the Ambassador's contributions to promoting and deepening the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Viet Nam and the Kingdom of Belgium, as well as strengthening collaboration between the capital city of Ha Noi and Belgian localities and partners.

In recent years, the bilateral relations have continued to be strengthened and expanded across a wide range of fields, including politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

Throughout this process, Ha Noi has remained a proactive and reliable partner, actively participating in and promoting cooperation programs with Belgian local authorities, organizations, and businesses, thereby contributing to the further development of bilateral ties.

Thanks to the Ambassador's active support, relations between the two countries had made significant progress in politics, diplomacy, the economy, culture, and social affairs, he underlined.

For Ha Noi—which hosts the Belgian Embassy and regularly welcomes high-level Belgian delegations on official visits—the Ambassador's contributions have played an important role in strengthening mutual understanding and closer cooperation between the two sides, added the official.

The Chairman also acknowledged the strong presence and effective operations of many Belgian enterprises in Viet Nam over the years, noting their positive contributions to the country's economic development and the advancement of bilateral cooperation.

He expressed confidence that even after completing his diplomatic mission in Viet Nam, Ambassador Karl Van Den Bossche would continue to support and make meaningful contributions to further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and the Kingdom of Belgium in general, and with Ha Noi in particular.

He took the occasion to express thanks to the Ambassador for his valuable contributions throughout his tenure in Viet Nam, and wished him and his family good health, happiness, and continued success in his future endeavors./.
