Ha Noi starts construction on park and artificial lake in Cau Giay District
Work has started on the construction of a park and an artificial lake in Cau Giay new urban area on July 22 in the form of the build-transfer (BT). Attending the groundbreaking were Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tuan and leaders of departments, sectors and People’s Committees of Cau Giay and Nam Tu Liem Districts.

According to Director of Construction Department Le Van Duc, the park is located in Cau Giay and Nam Tu Liem Districts, covering an area of around 31 ha, including 19ha lake surrounded by 12.76ha of greenery and recreational areas
It has a total investment of over VND938 billion. The land clearance for the park has a total expense of roughly VND470 billion.
Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that building the park is part of a plan to plant more than one million trees and build more 25 parks (five of which will meet world standards).
He considered that the park will improve urban environmental landscape, form a green space, green lung in the western area of the city.

On behalf of the city authority, Chairman Chung praised, highly appreciated the effort of Department of Construction, People's Committee of Cau Giay and Nam Tu Liem Districts, relevant departments and sectors in the implementation of the projects.
He also asked the Construction Department to assume the responsibility and tightly collaborate with investors, departments, sectors, constructors to regularly monitor, inspect and timely resolve the difficulties and problems arising in construction process; create the most favorable conditions for district and the contractor to complete the project early.
