Ha Noi to set off fireworks on National Day 2026
VGP - The capital city of Ha Noi will organize high-altitude and low-altitude firework displays from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on September 2 to mark the 81st anniversary of National Day.
Ha Noi will set off fireworks in five locations on the evening of September 2 to celebrate Viet Nam’s 81st National Day
The five high-altitude firework sites include: (1) Site No. 1 in front of the Ha Noi Newspaper Editorial Office; (2) Site No. 2 in front of the Ha Noi Post Office, both in Hoan Kiem Ward; (3) Site No. 3 at Dao Dua in Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung Ward; (4) Site No. 4 at the F1 racetrack in the National Sports Complex, Tu Liem Ward; and (5) Site No. 5 at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Tay Ho Ward.
All five sites will feature both high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks, with a total of 3,700 high-altitude shells.
The two sites in Hoan Kiem Ward will each use 800 high-altitude shells, while the three sites in Tu Liem, Tay Ho and Hai Ba Trung wards will each use 700 shells.
For low-altitude fireworks, the city plans to use 390 platforms. The two sites in Hoan Kiem Ward will each use 60 platforms, while the three sites in Tu Liem, Tay Ho and Hai Ba Trung wards will each use 90 platforms.
To ensure the program is held safely, the Ha Noi City People's Committee assigned the Ha Noi Capital Command to take the lead and coordinate with relevant city departments and agencies and ward-level People's Committees.
The Ha Noi Capital Command will be responsible for ensuring all necessary preparations, transporting fireworks, guns and equipment, organizing training, and directing the Military Commands of the wards to rehearse the construction of the firework sites, connect the fireworks and conduct the displays in accordance with the approved script and plan.

Ha Noi bustling with tourists during National Day holiday
Famous tourist attractions across Ha Noi have been bustling with visitors during the National Day holiday, with large crowds flocking to historical and cultural sites.
Families have taken their parents and children to visit and explore the capital's attractions, while groups of young people have seized the opportunity to take photos and check in. Many international tourists have also visited historical sites and museums to learn more about Viet Nam's history and culture.
On National Day, September 2, Ha Noi offered free admission to 17 scenic spots, historical relics and cultural sites that normally charge entrance fees.
The destinations included the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam, Ngoc Son Temple, Hoa Lo Prison Relic, Co Loa Relic Site, Huong Pagoda, Ha Noi Museum, Duong Lam Ancient Village, Thay Pagoda and Tay Phuong Pagoda.
The free admission program was expected to attract more visitors and tourists, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere at tourist destinations across the capital during the National Day holiday.
The city also offered travel free of charge on subsidised bus network and two metro lines from August 29 to September 2. The fare waiver covers all 128 subsidised bus routes, as well as the Cat Linh-Ha Dong Line 2A and the elevated section of the Nhon-Ha Noi Railway Station Line 3.1./.
