Ha Noi’s GRDP grows 6.12% in January-September period

In the first nine months of 2024, the service sector increased by 6.76 percent over the same period last year.
Some industries saw relative good growth such as administrative activities and support services (up 17.22 percent), wholesale and retail (up 8.56 percent); accommodation and catering services (up 7.55 percent); finance, banking and insurance (up 7.38 percent), education and training (up 6.61 percent); and science and technology (up 6.49 percent).
The industrial and construction sector rose by 5.74 percent over the same period last year, contributing 1.15 percentage points to the city's GRDP growth.
In the reviewed period, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rose 5.4 percent from the same period last year, in which the processing and manufacturing industry surged 4.8 percent; electricity production and distribution, 9.9%; water supply and waste and waste solide treatment, 10.1 percent; and mining, 0.9 percent.
The consumption index of the processing and manufacturing industry in September was up 1.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023./.
