HN air traffic control centre starts construction

VGP - The Việt Nam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) and the Investment Construction and Trading Limited Company No.36 on February 7 jointly held a ground breaking ceremony for an air traffic control centre in Hà Nội.

With a total capital of VND 750 billion and an area of 20,600 square meters in Long Biên district, the project aims to replace the existing centre, which is technologically backward and out of date.

The new centre will have an administration building and a three-storey air traffic control tower.

The centre is expected to assist the operation of the air approach control centre in the Nội Bài International Airport and ensure safety and effectiveness for aeronautical activities within Hà Nội area.

The project is scheduled to be finalized before May, 2014./.
