HN attracts over 16.7 million tourists in first seven months

The number of foreign visitors was estimated at 460,897, up 9.6% against the same period last year. The city handled over 1.9 million domestic guests, up 9.5% against the same period last year. 

The tourism revenue was estimated at VND 8,071 billion, up 31.5% against the same period last year.

In the first seven months, the city attracted over 16.7 million guests, up 9.2% against the same period last year. The number of foreign arrivals was estimated at over 3.7 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 8.9%. The number of domestic guests was projected at over 13 million. Tourism revenue hit VND 57 trillion, up 28.8% against the same period last year. 

Building tourism products

Ha Noi houses 3,499 tourism accommodation establishments with 60,812 hotel rooms. 

Average occupancy rate was estimated at 64.2%, representing a year-on-year growth of 2.87%. 

Director of Ha Noi Tourism Department reported that the Department conducted a series of measures to improve  tourism product quality; develop tourism markets; and inspect tourism environment protection.

In August, the tourism sector will implement the survey on tourism destinations, products, and services; deploy IT application on state management of tourism; research tourism accommodation sites; respond to comments of tourists; and work with Tokyo-Japan to advertize tourism./.
