HN beefs up ties with Belarusian localities

VGP – Ha Noi hopes to step up its partnerships with Belarusian localities, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said.

Mr. Chung made the point on June 8 in Ha Noi while meeting with Belarusian Ambassador to Viet Nam Valery Sadokho.

The Chairman pledged that his city will create optimal conditions for Belarusian businesses to study the local market and join investment projects in the city.

According to the host leader, Ha Noi wants to learn from experience of other countries, including Belarus, to serve its development and modernization.

He took the occasion to seek the Ambassador’s support for the relationship between Viet Nam and Belarus.

For his part, Valery Sadokho said the bilateral ties are expected to make outstanding strides after the free trade agreement between Viet Nam and the Eurasia Economic Union, encompassing Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, comes into effect.

He conveyed the Minsk Mayor’s invitation to Chung to visit the Belarusian capital city.

On this occasion, representatives of Belarusian transport businesses introduced several projects in which they are seeking cooperation with Ha Noi in the time ahead./.
