HN promotion Agency announces launch

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen The Thao trusted that the Agency will be the bridge between the City Government and businesses, creating tourism, trade and investment climate, which is more transparent, equitable and appropriate with international integration process.

The Agency will also support and remove barriers for enterprises, creating favorable conditions for investors doing business in Ha Noi, he added.

The Ha Noi Promotion Agency was officially launched on June 15, created from a re-organization of four promotion centers under four departments: the Ha Noi Authority for Planning and Investment, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ha Noi Industrial and Export Processing Zones Authority.

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Gia Phuong was appointed Director of the Agency; Three Deputy Directors are Truong Dinh Dung, Bui Duy Quang and Nguyen Thi Mai Anh.

Established at the direction of the Prime Minister, the Hanoi Promotion Agency will operate under the Ha Noi People’s Committee.

In 2015, the city granted licenses to 80 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in Q1, including both newly-registered projects and those adding capital, with total investment of US$160.2 million; double the figure in the same period of 2014

Headquarter of the Agency is at No.10 Trinh Hoai Duc street, Dong Da district, Ha Noi.
