HN to host int’l workshop on Vietnamese studies

VGP – A large number of domestic and foreign academics will attend the 4th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies themed “Integration and sustainable development of Viet Nam” in Ha Noi from November 26-28, 2012.

The conference will be held by the Viet Nam Academy of Social Sciences in collaboration with the Viet Nam National University in Ha Noi.

The previous conferences on Vietnamese Studies have contributed to the development of the Vietnamese studies subject in Viet Nam and some other countries in the world.

Some of Vietnamese studies associations were established in the Republic of Korea (RoK) and the US. In Europe, a research network into Viet Nam named Euro-Viet was formed.

Many research works about Viet Nam have been published abroad, helping people in other countries understand more about Viet Nam.

This year’s conference will focus on issues on Vietnamese history, culture and cross-cultural integration and sustainable development.

It will also deal with Viet Nam's economy in integration and sustainable development, social development and management of social development in integration and sustainable development, ethnic and religious issues in integration and sustainable development and others.
