Japan provides 44 Toyota Camry Hybrid cars

VGP - The Ha Noi Police Department have received 44 hybrid cars sponsored by the Japanese government.

The cars were given to Ha Noi police in order to increase security in the processes of patrolling, crime prevention and maintaining traffic safety in the capital.

Speaking at the handover, Ha Noi Police Director, Major General Nguyen Duc Chung expressed his gratitude for Japan’s support of his force as they look to complete their tasks and reduce environmental pollution in the capital.

According to Atsuki Tomoyose, the First Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Viet Nam, the handover of the 44 cars was aimed at supporting Ha Noi police officers in better completing their tasks.

Over JPY 500 million (US44.2 million) in Japanese Government aid has been provided to Ha Noi Police since 2014, covering the purchase of 98 new generation Toyota and Mitsubishi hybrid, plugin-hybrid, electric and clean diesel cars.

The Toyota Camry Hybrid cars apply advanced and environmentally friendly technology.

They can travel 25.4 km with one liter of gasoline, according to autopro.com.vn, a website which provides information on automobiles.
