The event will attract representatives from many Ha Noi-based banks and investment funds, some foreign business associations, and between 50 and 60 FDI firms from various sectors.

The event is expected to create opportunities for meetings and exchanges between enterprises, foreign investors, and the city's management agencies while providing more information on preferential mechanisms and policies for attracting investment and expanding business operations.

Relevant departments, agencies, and district/ward people's committees need to proactively exchange information, understand the difficulties, obstacles, and proposals of the business community; and create the best conditions for enterprises to operate sustainably, the Deputy Chairman of the City People's Committee noted.

The Ha Noi Statistics Office reported that the city remains an attractive destination for foreign direct investment.

Ha Noi absorbed US$1.3 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), marking a remarkable 65 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, according to the Ha Noi Department of Planning and Investment.

The total investment includes US$1.1 billion in registered capital for 143 new projects, an additional US$138 million in increased investment from 102 existing projects, and US$77 million in capital contributions and equity purchases from 118 foreign investors.

According to the 2024 plan, the city will organize six dialogue conferences on specialized topics to enhance exchanges, understanding, and timely resolution of difficulties for the domestic and foreign business and investment community.

These are dialogue conferences with enterprises investing and operating in industrial parks and zones; enterprises investing and operating in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park; enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business households active in handicraft villages; firms engaged in the cultural-social field; foreign-invested enterprises in the city; and companies investing and operating in social housing, parking lots, and the environment (expected to be held in November 2024)./.
