Metro rail system project gets credit
VGP – The Ha Noi Urban Metro Management Board, and Alstom Transport SA, Colas Rail SA and Thales Communications & Security SAS sealed a contract (CP06) to develop a light metro rail line linking Nhon and Ha Noi station on January 17, in Ha Noi .

The Nhon-Ha Noi Station Section has a total length of 12.5km, including an 8.5-kilometer elevated section and a four-kilometer underground sector with 12 stations.
The VND 7,667 billion project will be implemented in 47 months.
The project will be funded by a loan from the French government, according to the report.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that the project is of great significance for Ha Noi, serving to reduce traffic congestion in the Capital city.
The project is also a symbol of the cooperative ties between Viet Nam and France, he added.
On behalf of the local authorities, Mr. Chung tasked the Ha Noi Urban Metro Management Board to work with the bidder to implement the project on schedule and with good quality.
The People’s Committees of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, and Dong Da districts were tasked to work with the Management Board to speed up site clearance./.
