Museum of Nature to be built
VGP - The PM has agreed with the proposal of the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) to build the Viet Nam Museum of Nature (VMN).

The museum will also store and exhibit history and values of nature of Viet Nam and the world, contributing to improving the public awareness about preserving and protecting nature and the environment.
The museum will be located at the Quoc Oai Ecological Urban Area in Liep Tuyet, Ngoc Liep and Ngoc My communes, Quoc Oai district, Ha Noi or at the Culture-Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, Dong Mo, Son Tay town, Ha Noi.
It will cover 32ha comprising areas for an indoor exhibition, a collection of national samples, an evergreen forest, caves, rocky mountains, a stone plateau, a geological garden, an exhibition area combined with a research center, an office and service area, an aquarium and areas for technical support and specimen processing.
The investment will be defined based on specific sub-projects in line with investment capacity from the State budget together with support from local and international organizations and individuals, as well as from other sources.
The project will be implemented in two phases. The 2015-2020 phase will include building infrastructure, purchasing equipment, collecting specimens, developing exhibition scripts and plans and training human resources.
These works will continue during the 2021-2025 and following periods.
The PM assigned the VAST to work with relevant ministries, agencies and organizations in implementing the project in accordance with the Law on Public Investment and other legal regulations./.
