National achievements exhibition wraps up
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hailed the National Achievements Exhibition as a proud success that surpassed expectations, embodying the nation’s unity and aspirations for the future, in his closing remarks delivered on the night of September 15 in Ha Noi.

The event, held at the Viet Nam Exhibition Center (VEC) under the theme “80-year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness”, was the largest exhibition ever organized in Viet Nam. It brought together 28 ministries and central agencies, 16 state-owned corporations, and 110 leading private enterprises, showcasing the achievements of nearly 180 sectors across diverse fields since the country’s founding.
Over its 19-day run from August 28 to September 15, the exhibition attracted about 10 million local and international visitors, becoming a major political and cultural highlight in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2).
Prime Minister Pham underscored that the core spirit throughout the exhibition was a powerful message about the Vietnamese people—intelligent, creative, sincere, open, and hospitable—who have been the foundation of the nation’s historic achievements and continue to drive its aspirations in the new era.
“This success is not only the proud culmination of the exhibition but also a promising beginning for upcoming major national and international events,” the Government leader affirmed, commending the contributions of ministries, agencies, localities, businesses, scientists, artists, organizers, volunteers, and the public.
The closing ceremony featured a formal awards presentation and a large-scale concert staged in three chapters, highlighted by the special music show “I Love My Homeland.” With nearly 20 performances blending traditional and contemporary elements, the show brought together renowned artists including People’s Artist Thanh Hoa, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, singers Trong Tan, Tung Duong, and other celebrated performers.
The evening concluded with a dazzling fireworks display, leaving a deep impression on participants and marking the end of a milestone event that celebrated national pride and opened new hopes for a prosperous, happy future in line with President Ho Chi Minh’s vision of Viet Nam standing shoulder to shoulder with global powers./.
