National action month on population launched
VGP - The General Department of Population and Family Planning held a ceremony to launch the 2013 National Action Month on Population with many activities and the participation of people of all walks of life.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Ministry of Health said that in 2013 Ha Noi focused on getting everyone involved in the population and family planning work.
After 10 years of implementing the Population Ordinance, the population and family planning program in the city has achieved significant outcomes.
In its 2011-2020 strategy on population and reproductive health and action plan, Ha Noi has set to pay more attention to the care for the elderly, strengthen the dissemination of the population policy in an active and efficient manner.
As of 1 November, 2013, Viet Nam's population reached 90 million.
The country is in the progress of "golden population structure" which offers the country a good chance to serve economic growth, ensure social security before coming to the "aging population" period.
