Night-time food and pedestrian zone at Dao Ngoc – Ngu Xa
VGP - A night-time food and pedestrian zone officially opened in Dao Ngoc - Ngu Xa, Truc Bach ward, Ba Dinh district, contributing more space for entertainment, and shopping for residents and visitors.
The zone covers two streets, Ngu Xa and Nguyen Khac Hieu, with combined length of about 120m.
This zone will focus on developing existing business activities, combining the OCOP product market, introducing the traditional craft of Ngu Xa bronze casting at the Bronze Foundry Museum, and organizing street art activities on weekends.
During festivals, Truc Bach ward organizes traditional activities at the historical and cultural relics of Than Quang pagoda and Ngu Xa communal house to serve visitors and tourists.
The food zone is open all days and closed to vehicles from 6 pm on Fridays to midnight on Sundays to serve pedestrians.
Addressing the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Ba Dinh People's Committee, Ta Nam Chien, expressed his hope that the Dao Ngoc - Ngu Xa food and pedestrian zone would become a new culinary destination in the district.
The zone also contributes to building the tourist image of Ha Noi as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination, and to the development of the urban economy and tourism of the capital in general and Ba Dinh district in particular.
In the coming time, Ba Dinh district will continue to study and improve the plans, rules and regulations so that the night-time food and pedestrian zone on Dao Ngoc Ngu Xa becomes an attractive destination.
The district also organizes cultural and artistic activities, restores and develops traditional activities at relics, and promotes the value of the Truc Bach lake landscape and historical sites in the region./.
