Outstanding graduates honoured

VGP - Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan on August 24 at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam met 132 outstanding valedictorians from universities and institutes based in the capital in 2014.

At the meeting, Vice President Doan reiterated the Party, State, National Assembly and Government have always paid special attention to young people and students.
The Vice President hailed the graduates’ determination to devote more to the nation and urged them to exert greater efforts to become good Vietnamese citizens.
The valedictorians, who are graduates from universities and institutes with impressive academic results.
Among the 132 honoured valedictorians are 37 males and 95 females; 57 of them have outstanding academic records while 75 earned excellent results, 56 of the valedictorians are Vietnam Communist Party members.
The annual event, which is organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Ha Noi, aims to encourage studying among Vietnamese students.
