Over 64,000 jobs created in first four months

In April 2023, Ha Noi created jobs for more than 20,039 workers, More than 6,650 people have jobs created from the city’s budget commissioned to Bank for Social Policies worth VND331 billion, and another 2000 received from the jobs transaction floor. There were 11,360 people who have been provided jobs through labor export, employment service provision of enterprises, and other forms.

Also, in April, more than 761 units and enterprises interviewed 5,535 people, and recruited 2,025 workers at 25 jobs transaction floors organized by Hanoi Center for Employment Service, the municipal department added.

As a result, Ha Noi has created jobs for 64,600/162,000 people in the first four months of 2023, accounting for 39.9 percent of the year’s plan. During the period, the unemployment insurance fund paid out a total of VND620 billion to more than 21,500 workers. Additionally, over 22.4 thousand people received job counseling for over 9.8 thousand people, and more than 130 people received vocational training school worth VND1.5 billion.

According to Plan No. 21/KH-UBND issued by Ha Noi People’s Committee, the city will continue to implement solutions for the labor market development, including implementing jobs creation, occupational safety and health, providing vocational training and finding new jobs for the unemployed, investigating enterprises’ labor and salary, and examining the implementation of the law on labor, salary, social insurance, labor subleasing at businesses, employer units.
