Phung Thi Hong Ha elected Chairwoman of Ha Noi People’s Council for 2021–2026 term
VGP - Vice Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Hà Nội People’s Council Phung Thi Hong Ha was elected Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council for the 2021–2026 tenure.
Born on May 1, 1971, in Ha Noi, Phung became a member of the Communist Party of Viet Nam in July 1995.
From 1990 to 2008, she held various leadership roles at the former Ha Tay Province's Department of Finance.
Following the merger of Ha Tay into Hà Nội in August 2008, she was appointed Deputy Director of the Ha Noi's Department of Finance.
In June 2012, she became the Secretary of the former Thanh Oai District Party Committee, and since June 2016 has served as Vice Chairwoman of the Ha Noi People's Council.
Phung is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Ha Noi Party Committee for the 15th through 18th tenures, a member of the Standing Board of the 17th and 18th tenures, and a deputy to the Ha Noi People's Council for the 14th, 15th and 16th terms.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, she described her new role as a great honor as well as a significant challenge, given Ha Noi's ambitious development goals. She pledged to devote her full efforts to the post, consistently prioritizing the interests of the Party, the people, and the capital city./.
