Police lead in fighting corruption
VGP – Ha Noi Police are the leading agency in the fight against corruption and economic crimes, with hundreds of big cases investigated to return trillions of VND back to the State's coffin.

The information was announced during the meeting of the Ha Noi Police on December 24 to review the work in 2013 and carry out tasks in 2014.
In 2013, Hanoi Police ensured complete safety for key targets and programs and activities of the Party and State leaders; and addressed complaints.
The protection of internal political security was increased, while crimes were put under control.
In addition, Ha Noi Police brought to light a number of trans-national drug trafficking rings, seizing a great amount of heroin.
At the meeting, Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang awarded the title Hero of the people’s armed forces for the social order criminal investigation department for its excellent achievements in the anti-crime fight.
Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi urged Ha Noi Police to be active in protecting political security in all circumstances, focusing on increasing the quality and efficiency of the movement of the whole people protecting national security, building up the guard forces at the grassroots level.
Minister Quang suggested Ha Noi Police should continue efforts in seriously realising the direction from the central level on increasing the struggle against crimes; and consult the authorities about arising problems in security.
During the upcoming lunar New Year festival, Ha Noi Police were asked to work harder in the anti-crime fight.
