After two entries for the third round and the six outstanding entries were presented two second prizes, one third prize and three consolation prizes on April 26.
The planning on preserving the 18 Hoang Dieu archeological site and the ancient imperial citadel aims to make the heritage a historical and cultural park.
It looks to promote the site's values globally, for a long-term conservation of the architectural vestiges, artifacts, archaeological sites which have been unearthed, honoring intangible and tangible cultural values for future generations. In addition, the planning will create a community cultural space which matches with the surrounding architecture and infrastructure of the Ba Dinh political center.
The planning is significant as the heritage site, which was recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site, is located in the political center where the National Assembly House is being built, making the site a continuation of power center through thousands of years.
