The Secretary chaired a meeting with local leaders including Ha Noi Party Committee's Deputy Secretary Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Mayor Tran Sy Thanh, and Chairman of the city Peoples Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan to seek measures after typhoon Yagi or Storm No.3 swept away on September 9.

Ms. Bui instructed the local authorities to strictly implement the "four-on-the-spot" principle: command on-site, manpower on-site, materials and equipment on-site, and logistics on-site.

The Secretary underlined the importance of mobilizing all resources to promptly address issues such as ensuring public safety, clearing fallen trees, and cleaning the environment.

The Ha Noi Fatherland Front is responsible for enabling social organizations and citizens to assist in these efforts.

Heads from various districts reported on the damage caused by the typhoon and the measures taken to protect residents and property.

Initial statistics showed that 2,698 schools have resumed normal operations, while 114 schools remain closed due to safety concerns. The Department of Education is coordinating efforts to reopen these schools within the next few days.

The Department of Transport reviewed the city's bridges, identifying weak structures for reinforcement to ensure safe traffic flow./.
