Russia opens tourism office in HN

VGP - Russia opened a tourism office in Ha Noi on the occasion of the Viet Nam International Travel Mart (VITM) with a view to boosting ties with Southeast Asia and the RoK.

The office is the eighth of this kind around the world, targeting to promote tourism exchanges among Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia and the RoK.

It is located at No. 49, Hai Ba Trung Street in Ha Noi.

Specifically, the office will provide official information on Russian tourism for the targeted markets, post tourism news of Southeast Asian member states for Russian tourists; conduct tourism promotion activities; and introduce Russia’s tourism development policies.

The General Department of Tourism reported that 108,750 Russian tourists visited Viet Nam in Q1, 2016, up 13.5% against the same period last year./.
