The exhibition “15 years of Ha Noi - City for Peace” opens

HNP - The photo exhibition entitled “15 years of Ha Noi - City for Peace” officially kicked off at Exhibition House (93 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoan Kiem District) on July 17. It was co-organized by Ha Noi Union of Friendship Associations and Ha Noi City Peace Committee.

The event aims to mark Ha Noi’s 15th year as the City for Peace at the recognition of the UNESCO and the 60th anniversary of the capital's liberation.

The photos in the exhibition feature the daily lives of Hanoians as well as the beautiful landscapes of Ha Noi. These photos were taken by Ha Noi’s special friends. They are Ambassador, Deputy Ambassadors, Ambassadors' wives, diplomats working in embassies and international organizations in Viet Nam; historical researchers, artists, and photographers from many countries around the world.

Some outstanding works of the competition studying about “Ha Noi – City for peace” also are displayed at the exhibition.

At the exhibition, with the corner themed “Peace for the East sea”, visitors will enjoy a significant activity, expressing the desire of Vietnamese people and international friends to maintain peace for the East sea as well as in the region and in the world by taking signatures to support peace on the East sea at www.haufo.org.vn.

Addressing at the opening ceremony, standing member of the Municipal Party Committee, and Head of the Popularization and Education Department of Ha Noi Communist Party Ho Quang Loi said that the exhibition contributes to further promote cultural exchange and friendship between Viet Nam in general, Ha Noi in particular with international friends.

The exhibition will run through July 19. - HNP
