Tokyo, Ha Noi promote cooperation in tourism development

VGP - Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People`s Committee Ngo Van Quy has met with Chairman of the Council for Promoting Tourism in Asia (CPTA), Director General of Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Yuji Fujita on the verge of the 16th meeting of CPTA in Ha Noi.

 

At the reception,  Quy told the chairman of CPTA about the development of tourism in Ha Noi in recent years. In recent years, Ha Noi receives about 24 million tourists per year on average, including about 5 million international visitors. Over the years, Japan has always been ranked third in terms of visitor growth to Ha Noi.
Sharing the plan to make tourism a key economic sector of Ha Noi,  Quy said that the capital will continue to promote the implementation of five major goals. First, to focus on promotional activities, thereby helping visitors know more about Ha Noi. Second, to improve the quality of destinations as well as tourism products. Third, to build up facilities, calling for investment in recreation areas. Fourth, to strengthen the development of information technology, smart tourism. Fifth, to improve the quality of human resources.
He expressed his wish that at the 16th meeting of CPTA, member cities will be more active in coordinating and supporting each other to develop tourism.

In turn, thanks to the welcome of Ha Noi's official, Chairman of CPTA, Director General of Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Yuji Fujita realized that Ha Noi had many dramatic changes, proving that the city's economy is booming.
According to Yuji Fujita, Ha Noi possesses long-standing cultural values, which is an advantage for the capital to attract more tourists. The chairman of CPTA expressed his hope that, through the 16th meeting of CPTA, Tokyo and Ha Noi will have the opportunity to further exchange information and promote cooperation in the tourism field in the future.
