UNIQLO to open first store in early March

At the reception, Chung said the presence of Uniqlo, a big brand from Japan, is good news for Ha Noi’s residents and tourists.
Agreeing with Uniqlo's goals and development direction in Ha Noi in particular and Viet Nam in general, the Ha Noi mayor added that the two sides would continue to discuss and sign the memorandum of cooperation.
He expressed his desire that Uniqlo will continue to expand business and create jobs for Ha Noi’s people and encouraged the group to consider cooperating with Viet Nam's textile and garment corporations.
In turn, the group’s vice president Koyama Noriaki said Japan's Uniqlo Group will open its first store in Ha Noi in early March.
He wished that the Ha Noi’s authorities would support the group in finding locations for stores.
The store will be located at Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach in Dong Da district. It is also one of Southeast Asia's largest apparel showcases of garments, Koyama Noriaki said.
Noriaki thanked the municipal authorities for their active support for Uniqlo in the process of finalizing the relevant legal procedures.
Uniqlo will open at least three stores in Hanoi in the time a head, and a total of 10 to 20 stores across Viet Nam, headded.
Last year, the first Uniqlo store in Viet Nam was opened at Parkson Saigontourist Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1.
The upcoming appearance of UNIQLO in Viet Nam will place it in competition with some of the well-known foreign brands like Zara and H&M already present in the country.
Currently, Vietnamese people can only purchase Uniqlo products from individual sellers or order them from other countries.
