West Lake to be lit up with drone show
VGP - A drone light show will illuminate the skies of Ha Noi to ring in the Year of the Dragon.
The much-anticipated show, featuring an impressive 2,024 drones, will take place at the Van Cao T-junction by the side of West Lake at 11:30 pm on Friday. Spectators can gather on Nguyen Dinh Thi and Trich Sai streets to revel in this breathtaking performance.
Following the drone display, high-altitude fireworks will illuminate the night sky from 12:00 am to 12:15 am on Saturday, marking the onset of the Year of the Dragon.
The show, organized by the People’s Committee of Tay Ho district, the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), and the Viet Nam Public Bank (PVcomBank), seeks to solidify Ha Noi's status as an international destination while also showcasing Vietnam's allure to a global audience.
Specifically, 2,024 drones performed a light show for a rehearsal for the upcoming Lunar New Year's Eve performance, forming nine Ha Noi symbols.
During a 15-minute rehearsal in the West Lake area in Tay Ho District, the drones were put up in the sky for a light performance, which will officially take place on the final day of the lunar calendar on Friday.
30 minutes prior to the show, drones equipped with batteries, and tested to ensure technical readiness. Each drone could fly for a maximum of 78 minutes./.
