VGP – The first Viet Nam-RoK international fine arts exhibition was held in Ha Noi on March 27.

The event was organized by the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association (VFAA) and the KIRO Art Association of the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The exhibition featured 116 works by 110 artists, including 76 pieces by 70 members of the KIRO Art Association and the remaining 40 by VFAA members.

They were drawn in different materials and styles, reflecting the culture and art of each country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the KIRO Art Association Yun Bu-nam said Korean artists will learn more about Vietnamese culture and arts via the event. He also took the occasion to invite Vietnamese painters to send their works to the RoK for display.

VFAA Chairman Tran Khanh Chuong said a number of fine arts exhibitions have been held in both countries in recent years, contributing to raising mutual understanding about fine arts between their people.

He added that the KIRO Art Association now includes over 10,000 members who work to preserve and develop the RoK’s traditional fine arts.

Mr. Chuong also hoped that ties between the VFAA and the KIRO Art Association will continue to thrive in the years to come.

The event runs until March 30./.
