Laos, VN seek to boost agriculture ties

Ha Noi, Vientiane officials sign an agricultural cooperation agreement

During the event, Ha Noi's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Vientiane's Department of Agriculture and Forestry agreed to boost cooperation in agricultural and rural development during a meeting.

In particular, the two sides will work closely together to build a master plan for agriculture-forestry development in Vientiane to 2020, with a vision to 2030.

The two sides pledged to work as a bridge to connect the two countries’ businesses operating in the field of agriculture, forestry and aquaculture.

Ha Noi will help Vientiane boost management of agriculture and farm lands, irrigation management, high-tech applications and mechanisation in agricultural production.
