Music concert marks 45th anniversary VN-Japan diplomatic ties

VGP - The 2018 Special Toyota Concert has been held at the Viet Nam National Academy of Music in Ha Noi as part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties.

The event was held by Toyota Motor Viet Nam and the Viet Nam National Symphony Orchestra to enhance culture and music exchange between the two countries.

The audience had a chance to enjoy a combination of Vietnamese and world music in a new style.

The concert was conducted by Japanese conductor Testuji Honna who has spent nearly 18 years working in Viet Nam, and features performances by talented cello soloist Miyata Dai of Japan and Vietnamese artists.

The concert will continue to be held for classical music lovers in Ha Noi on August 10th and 11th, and in Ho Chi Minh city on August 14th. Tickets will be sold from July 20th. All the money will be used to support the Toyota Scholarship For Young Vietnamese Music Talents.

The Viet Nam - Japan bilateral relationship is now at its strongest in history since the establishment of diplomatic relationship 45 years ago. Senior leaders of the two sides have maintained regular visits and meetings at international and regional forums.

This was the 21st edition of the annual Toyota Concert funded by Toyota Vietnam Foundation, which was first held in 1998.
