Night tours discovering Ngoc Son temple launched

VGP - A nighttime tourism program to discover the Ngoc Son temple on Hoan Kiem Lake, downtown Ha Noi, debuted at a ceremony on January 31.

As a blend of the ancient architecture of the special national relic site and its associated rituals and folklore, it utilizes sound, light, and modern projection technology to showcase Vietnam's traditional cultural values.

Organized on evenings of the first four days of the week starting February, each tour under the experimental program lasts for 60 minutes and serves between 60 and 70 visitors.

At the launch ceremony, head of the municipal heritage management board Nguyen Doan Van hoped that with the program, the special national relic site of Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple roducts of the cultural industry, capable of attracting a wide range of tourists both domestically and internationally.

Ngoc Son Temple in Hoan Kiem Lake is a popular tourist destination as it features the traditional architecture and spiritual life of Vietnamese people. 

Ha Noi is a pioneer in developing night-time tourism and now there are various options for visitors to do in the Capital at night. A number of tourism attractions in the city have offered tours designed especially for the nighttime.

The Thang Long Imperial Citadel, a World Heritage site created a 120-minute night tour called "Decoding the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long."

Tourists and locals in the capital city of Ha Noi had an opportunity to enjoy a dazzling light and traditional music and a taste of quintessence of Vietnamese educational history while engaging in the night tour to the Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) in the heart of Ha Noi.

In July 2022, Hoa Lo Prison in the city also launched night tours taking visitors on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Using light and sound effects, the 45-minute tour, called "Sacred Night - Glorious Vietnamese Spirit", tells the story of the prison, once called "hell on earth".

Night art tours have drawn much attention, like performances in Ha Noi Cheo (Traditional Opera) Theatre, Ha Noi Cai Luong (Reformed Opera) Theatre and Thang Long Water Puppetry Theatre.

The Viet Nam Literature Museum, which covers an area of around 3,000sq.m and features displays of more than 3,454 artifacts representing the quintessence of Vietnamese literature, started offering night tours every Saturday and Sunday./.
